Why Are We Doing This?
This program was created to boost volunteer numbers and support our Wednesday Junior Sailing sessions. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to make a difference. The Training is fully funded on understanding of the commitment laid out below:
Your Commitment
On top of the free training dates, successful applicants must commit to supporting a minimum 10 days of volunteering. This can be a combination of days helping out on Wednesday Junior Sailing 27th May 2026 - 16th September 2026 (10am - 6pm) or assisting during our Youth Week 24th - 27th August 2025 (9am - 5pm).
If you exceed this commitment, we’ll cover the cost of your RYA Double-Handed Instructor Endorsement in September 2026
Career & Work Opportunities
This program not only prepares you to volunteer but also opens doors to potential paid work opportunities in the sailing and water sports industry. With the skills and certifications gained, you could pursue employment as an instructor at sailing clubs, holiday resorts, or adventure centers. Whether you're looking for a new career path or a rewarding side job, this training provides valuable, in-demand qualifications.
Application Process
Due to the anticipated demand for this opportunity, we will be conducting an interview process to ensure we choose the most committed and passionate individuals.
