Racing Camp is for Optimist and Tera sailors already racing in our fleets. Join us for a week of focused race training, from boat speed and tactics to starts and strategy. Groups will be split by ability to ensure the right level of challenge. Book single days or come for the full week — and get ready for fast-paced, fun racing!

Course Content
Our Racing Camp will take your sailor’s racing to the next level, building a strong toolkit of skills to keep them fast, smart, and confident on the racecourse. They’ll develop advanced techniques in starting, mark roundings, boat speed, and tactics — while also working on communication and teamwork in a racing context.
Throughout the week, sailors will help shape the focus areas, allowing us to tailor the coaching to their goals. We’ll challenge them with progressive drills and scenarios, including racing rules, penalty turns, and decision-making under pressure.
This camp will deepen their understanding of racing strategy, sharpen their on-water awareness, and boost their confidence as independent racers in fleet environments.
What to Bring?
Please bring with you:
Appropriate clothing for the conditions ideally wetsuit and boots.
Swimming Towel.
Hat, Sunscreen (Summer) Gloves, Fleece hat (winter).
Lunch, water bottle and snacks. On weekend and late week courses the bar and restaurant will be open.
The club can provide buoyancy aids.
